A modern graphic interpretation of Gothic architectural references, including pointed forms and tracery. Black palettes and occult motifs belong to some later reinterpretations, not all Gothic art.

## Visual family
Ornament & tradition · Mid-1100s onward. Editorial family: shared visual vocabulary, not a claim of common origin.

## Visual cues
- Pointed forms
- Vertical emphasis
- Tracery

## Build it
1. Use the arch as an image frame.
2. Reserve blackletter for brief titles.
3. Keep navigation in a highly legible face.

## Example
An architectural photo essay with arch-shaped images and clear historical captions.

## Typography
Blackletter may suit a short display title; use an open, readable serif or sans-serif for supporting text.

## Practical consequences
- Starting projects: Publication, Portfolio. These are suggestions, not restrictions.
- Reading/layout: spacious; bold visual emphasis.
- Asset work: Architectural or genre artwork helps clarify which interpretation you mean.
- Complexity: medium. Allow time for a coherent decorative or image layer and responsive checks.

## Limits
Conflating medieval architecture, Gothic revival, and contemporary goth culture without explanation.

## Reading the collected reference board
The board combines architecture, horror covers, and later goth-associated graphics. Use the distinction between medieval form and contemporary genre imagery when choosing a reference.

## Context
Contemporary screen interpretation. The recipe is a modern web adaptation.
