2018 — My first job
In this year
Work #
I earned my notary license and started my first job. My Safemark years began in 2018, working with equipment and accounts in public venues.
Safemark · 2018–2020 #
Over these years, I worked with equipment and customer accounts in busy public environments. Some accounts relied on me as their sole point of contact for service and the ongoing relationship.

Keeping the relationship working #
Managers recognized my role in maintaining and repairing the relationship with the Pechanga account. I also helped rebuild relationships with major clients across the San Diego division that had deteriorated.
Those renewed relationships supported business revenue and increased demand, with staffing expanding to meet it. My part was hands-on: working independently with accounts, following through on service, and taking the lead with my team.
Finding the actual fault #
Electronic troubleshooting could mean taking equipment apart and tracing the issue through individual components, down to a motherboard or host PC. I learned to assess the problem before jumping to a quick fix.
That work also required consistent records: repairs, parts, and travel reports. For work at MCRD, I underwent a DoD background check to obtain base clearance.
Accounts I supported #
Through Safemark, I supported accounts including the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, SeaWorld, Barona Casino, Pechanga, MCRD, LEGOLAND, and Disney.
These were accounts I worked with through Safemark, rather than separate employers.
Personal timeline #
The iPhone X comes to work #
I kept using the iPhone X as I started working. A new high-end phone was harder to justify with my own working life and budget taking shape. The phone was now coming along for days of travel around the county, rather than mainly school and home.
