2012 — Tablets, a tumble, and a touch-screen laptop

Before high school, I was already getting interested in Android phones and tablets. This was the year of my Asus Transformer Prime, and by October I had an LG Optimus G.
The Transformer Prime #
At my private Christian school, I was allowed to use the Transformer Prime because my history and science teacher had one. I wanted an iPad, but I was an Android guy at the time, and the Prime was where I went looking for that experience.

I finally got the iPad #
After the Transformer Prime, I did get “the new iPad” at some point in 2012. The tablet I had wanted was finally mine.
Then it went splat.
Mid-year · A brief Galaxy S3 foray #
Mid-2012 brought a brief stint with the Galaxy S3.
Fall · ASUS VivoBook X202E #
By the fall, I realized I needed something more substantial. Best Buy let me switch to an ASUS VivoBook X202E Windows 8 touch-screen laptop. I used it through summer 2013, until I moved to the MacBook Air.
